OVERVIEW

This two-day certification workshop qualifies you to administer and interpret the FIRO™ Element B™ instrument (the next generation of FIRO™B®). FIRO™ Element B™ is an assessment tool based on the FIRO™ model of interpersonal behavior and is one of the most powerful and widely used psychometric instruments throughout the world today. FIRO™ Element B™ has applications for understanding behavior in personal and work relationships, for enhancing self-awareness in leadership and management development, and in analyzing and improving team performance.

In this program, you will learn:

• How to lead sessions with individuals, groups, and teams using the FIRO™ Element B™ instrument

• How to facilitate discussions with individuals and intact work teams to interpret score results and plan future actions

OVERVIEW OF THE FIRO™ELEMENT B INSTRUMENT

The FIRO™-B instrument is short (8-10 minutes), simple, and self-scoring. It offers clear interpretations, based on research conducted over the last decade. Element B™measures preferences in the areas of inclusion, control and openness and provides a measure of satisfaction.

FIRO™(Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation) theory and analysis was developed by Dr. Will Schutz - an internationally respected leader in the field of human relations.

Dr. Schutz has served on the faculties of Harvard University, Tufts University, The University of Chicago, The University of California at Berkeley, The Albert Einstein Medical School, and John F. Kennedy University.

COURSE METHODOLOGY

This course is structured to provide maximum practice, group interaction, practice, and feedback. The course leader will contract with each participant for individual feedback and coaching.
