WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This workshop is designed for those individuals wanting to enhance their personal presentation skills, training skills, and ability to work with groups to improve overall "on-the-job" performance.

OVERVIEW

Participants in this workshop will conduct in-depth interviews and critiques for each presentation performance to help that individual identify preferred presentation methods and build on strengths. Presentation skills such as: timing; sequencing; involvement; and pacing will be evaluated by the trainer and peer group. Presentation styles and learning to adapt to a participant group are covered along with a variety of training and presentation models.

LEARNING CONTENT AREAS

The purpose of this workshop is for all participants to meet the following objectives:

• Discover preferred presentation styles, and maximizing those qualities

• Explore new presentation styles, particularly as they relate to differing learner styles

• Test a variety of presentation methods

• Test your presentation skills: timing, sequencing, involvement, and pacing

• Analyze presentation skills with the use of videotape

• Receive personal feedback from the facilitator and group participants on your presentation

• Review and practice techniques for giving and receiving effective feedback

COURSE METHODOLOGY

This course is structured to provide maximum practice, group interaction, and feedback. Practice sessions will be videotaped for personal feedback. The course leader will contract with each participant for individual feedback and follow-up coaching.
