WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Advanced Organizational Development builds on the Essentials of Organizational Development workshop to get to the "nitty gritty" of designing organizational development interventions. This two-day workshop is designed primarily for trainers and facilitators to further strengthen an understanding of successful organization development interventions and to provide an actual opportunity to learn how to design such interventions.

OVERVIEW

Many leaders and groups are recognizing the need to design interventions to enable them to meet their business objectives. Yet many of the people who recognize this need don't have the design skills or soft skills to go about developing task and relationship processes to enable them to achieve their objectives. They are calling on internal consultants and trainers to work with them to design and facilitate interventions.

In addition, many groups and teams have cross-functional issues and do not know how to design interventions enabling them to resolve these issues. Trainers and internal consultants are being asked for help in creating these interventions as well.

The skill-set achieved from this workshop ranges from designing a one-day off-site session for a team to a two-year cross-functional re-engineering implementation with multiple teams.

• How to identify the key elements of successful contracting as part of the design.

• How to identify what type of needs assessment is best and how to design, structure, and conduct it

• How to create an intervention strategy that will enable you and the client to succeed

• What intervention infrastructure is appropriate given the project's scope and breadth?

• What are the elements for successful OD design?

• How to weave those design elements into an ongoing successful intervention.

• Learn how to sustain momentum in a longer OD intervention.

• How to evaluate the sessions facilitated as well as the overall design.

• Learn the elements and techniques for conducting successful contracting and needs assessments.

• Learn the elements, techniques, and tools to create and evaluate the right OD intervention for the client.
